1. Information We Collect

Your Day AI collects the following information to provide our nutrition tracking service:

  • Account Information: When you sign in with Apple, we receive your name and email (or a private relay email if you choose to hide it).
  • Health Data: With your permission, we access Apple Health data including active calories burned, step count, workouts, and body weight. This data stays on your device unless you explicitly enable cloud sync.
  • Nutrition Data: Meals you log, including food names, calorie counts, and macronutrient values. This data is stored locally on your device by default.
  • Profile Information: Your age, weight, height, activity level, and dietary preferences — used to calculate personalized nutrition targets.
  • Usage Data: Anonymous analytics about app usage patterns to help us improve the experience.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • Calculate personalized calorie and macro targets
  • Provide meal suggestions through our Fix feature
  • Track your nutrition progress and streaks
  • Sync data with Apple Health (with your permission)
  • Send meal reminders and streak notifications (if enabled)
  • Improve the app experience through anonymous analytics

3. Data Storage

Your nutrition data is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. We do not have access to your meal logs, weight entries, or health data unless you explicitly enable cloud sync in a future update.

4. Third-Party Services

  • USDA FoodData Central: We query this free government database to look up food nutrition information. No personal data is sent — only food search queries.
  • Open Food Facts: We query this open database for barcode product lookups. No personal data is sent.
  • Apple HealthKit: We read and write health data only with your explicit permission. This data is governed by Apple's privacy policies.
  • Apple StoreKit: Subscription purchases are processed by Apple. We do not collect or store payment information.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties. We do not serve advertisements. Your data is yours.

6. Data Deletion

You can delete all your data at any time by using the "Redo Onboarding" option in Settings, which clears your profile. Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data. To request deletion of any server-side data (if cloud sync is enabled), contact us at support@yourdayai.app.

7. Children's Privacy

Your Day AI is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
